A Message From Our CEO
Mar 23, 2020
During this unprecedented time, I’d like to assure all of our teams and external partners that everyone at PTW is doing their utmost to ensure we all remain safe.
Our number one priority in every decision we are making is keeping our employees, clients, and external providers safe and healthy. In some cases, this has meant closing or partially closing our studios and asking teams to work from home. I also understand the uncertainty that every member of our team faces, and I have committed that any member of the team affected by coronavirus will continue to be paid as normal so that they have one less thing to worry about.
PTW has been working on a solution to enable our agents to work from home for about 18 months and many of those plans are now being fast-tracked to react to the pandemic. The technology solution is complex, and we can only roll it out with full consent from our clients. So far, in this short period of time, we have been able to put in place solutions that have allowed the majority of our team to work from home.
To our existing clients, thank you for partnering with us to ensure the safety of our teams. The health of our teams is paramount to us, so there may come a time in the near future where we need to move all of our teams to a WFH model. If that happens, we will work with each of you to craft a solution that meets your need while protecting our teams.
Because we have a global footprint, we are able to maintain some studio function at all times as different regions have been impacted at different times. The support of each of these studios for their colleagues has been phenomenal and makes me proud to be part of the PTW family. That being said, a full work from home model will happen, we are working day and night to ensure that. In the meantime, we are keeping our team safe while we continue to meet our clients’ needs.
In instances where working from home isn’t yet possible, we’re advising our teams to put their safety first and only come in as long as they are healthy, and if local guidance permits.
Within studios where we continue to operate, teams are spread out at a safe distance, rosters have been scheduled into shifts to avoid peak public transport times to minimize contact, and we are fully sanitizing all work surfaces nightly to reduce the risk of exposure. As well as physical health being of the utmost importance, the mental health of our teams, who are adapting to news ways of working, is also key; we are putting resources in place to help our teams adapting to new ways of working.
We are in this together, and our primary focus is supporting our team and our clients; we will strive to do this by keeping together the fantastic team we have here at PTW.
We’ll continue to provide updates as the situation unfolds. Until then, stay safe.
Deborah
