In an industry still very much dominated by men, it’s vital to acknowledge and honor the contributions of marginalized genders across all aspects of our profession. 

So we’re delighted that PTW’s own Head of HR, India, Smitha Ramankutty, has received the Women’s Web WICA 2022 Growth Champion – Trailblazer Award, which celebrates team and company growth. 

PTW’s Martin Glancy, Regional HR Director, remarked, “This is in recognition of all the amazing work that Smitha does, not only in PTW, but in the wider corporate environment in India, advocating for women and making Indian companies a more inclusive workplace for all.” 

Smitha acknowledges, “Thank you for this recognition, and indeed it has been an honor to be associated with Women’s Web. There are so many opportunities for women in India and I am delighted to continue creating a space for women in the games industry and beyond.” 

Women’s Web is an Indian organization that empowers women through content, resources, tools, and opportunities. Its Women In Corporate Awards are awarded to women and non-gender-conforming people who have made significant achievements within their businesses. This year more than 300 nominations in all categories were received. 

The purpose of the awards is to create a space for marginalized genders – across all domains, industries, and at different stages of their careers – to come together in a positive and thoughtful environment.
