OR Esports Takes Its Shot At Valorant

Huge news!

PTW’s OR Esports Valorant team edged out Turtle Troop to move into the top 10 in North America for the 2024 Challenger Series. At the end of the tournament, two teams will qualify for the Ascension League – which is a really big deal – and we’re excited to watch it play out!

So how did we get here? PTW has a Valorant team?

This was a natural progression of growing our E-Sports brand. We’ve had a ton of success with our PUBG Mobile team internationally, and we decided to branch out. Valorant has been blowing up lately, so it was only natural we would enter the competitive circuit.

As newbies in the North American Esports ecosystem, we had to study players, teams, coaches, and performances over the last two years to determine our best entry point. The team Stealing Lunch Money (SLM) immediately stood out due to their consistent performance, and after multiple rounds of negotiations, we brought them into the PTW Family under the OR Esports banner.

The current line-up is:

  • Jonaaa6 (Jonard Penaflor)

  • Nillyaz (Chase Linder)

  • Zeldris (Elijah Hawkins)

  • Paincakes (Jake Hass)

  • Fiziq (Lucas Blow)

OR Esports played against 30 teams this season to make it to where they are now. Some of the big names we competed against included G2, Faze, DSG, Moist Moghuls, Mad Lions, The Guard, and M80. Apart from competing in third-party tournaments in the North America region, OR Esports will prepare for Season 2 of the Challengers Series.

We’re proud of our newest PTW team and cannot wait to see what they do in the future!
